Characterised by a decorative illustrative style creating strong geometric figures & subtle abstract patterns. The use of colour & composition is authentic & playful. Skilful drawing involves pencil, ink & hand cut stencils, combined with hand printed processes. Digital methods are frequently used to create & enhance designs.
Currently working as a freelance designer in Nottingham focusing on surface patterns, stationery & commissioned illustrations suitable for commercial design houses.
Passion for design & creative skills originates from a Graphic arts & design degree. Since 2011 the "Jessica Hayes-Gill" brand was formed & developed, a collection of timeless & nostalgic homeware & stationery.
